François Plantation, four star hotel & Restaurant, is located near the village of Colombier on the northern fork
of the island of St Barthélemy (F.W.I). Established since 1987, the hilltop site overlooks Baie des Flamands,
far from the hustle and bustle of the tourist centers of Gustavia and St Jean. At their arrival at François
Plantation, we are very pleased to greet our guests with an explosion of bright tropical flowers and charmed
by the delicate scent of jasmine flowers.
The cottages
The hotel is composed of twelve cottages with two different settings: four bungalows are nestled discreetly
in the lush and cool beauty of tropical garden, and eight hillside bungalows have a panoramic view of the sea.
Each of the hotel’s twelve cottages ensures the utmost privacy and tranquillity. Bungalows can accommodate
one or two persons, with one exception: two ocean view bungalows have been specially designed to
accommodate a party of three. Mahogany dividers separating the terraces can easily be removed to connect
the two, thereby creating a comfortable apartment, ideal when vacationing with family and friends.
All the cottages are decorated, furnished and equipped with the same attention to detail: mahogany furniture
and white marble bathrooms are standard in all. All the cottages are furnished with frames, colonial style
queen-size beds, roomy closets and shelves for your personal belongings, air conditioning, overhead ceiling fan,
TV with a French/American channels, CD player, mini bar, lockable safety deposit box, and direct-line telephone. The 12 units have boat wood floors with white joints in the bathroom and traditional wood floor in the bedroom in order to contribute to give a different and warm atmosphere.
Bathrooms are equipped with double sink, bidet, toilet, shower and hair dryer for the convenience of the clients. The complete range of linens is changed daily.
Each cottage is 30 meter-square and has a private terrace furnished with tables, chairs and reclining deck chairs.
A private parking space is designated for hotel guests.
The pool is located on the hilltop, and offers a spectacular view on the Caribbean Sea. The pool has been entirely redone. It is tinted in grey and the surrounding dressed with teak wood deck and grey stone walls.
The Villa
Located on top of the property, the Villa Plantation is the exclusive rental of the hotel François Plantation.
A very pretty villa offering a breathtaking and astonishing view over Flamands and Pointe Milou sun rising.
This one bedroom villa with complete kitchen, leather furniture and modern equipped dining room opens on
a large sundeck and private pool.

Laundry
Laundry service is available, free use of beach towels and chairs, and the mini-bar in each cottage is inventoried and replenished daily. Each cottage has a cooler, and ice machine is available at the restaurant.
Reception
The front desk has an array of information about all kind of activities available on the island, and a direct fax line.
A computer with a free internet access is available for the hotel guests in the small lounge during the reception opening hours.
The restaurant
Breakfast
We serve breakfast in the dining room every day from 8am until 10am. We offer a classic continental breakfast
with bread, viennoiseries, organic fruit juices, hot drinks, fresh fruit salad and cereals. In addition, we offer a
just cooked breakfast choice of different sorts of eggs. Breakfast can be delivered in the room with an extra
charge for room service.
Dinner
The gastronomic restaurant is opened every evening, except Monday evening, from 7pm until 10pm. Frank
Renimel, Head Chef, delights our clients with an innovative Mediterranean inspired cuisine in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere overlooking an abundant tropical garden. An extensive wine list, specialising in organic French wines and a carefully selected water list completes the experience in the art of fine dining. The wine
list has been expertly selected and designed by our Head Sommelier, Pascal Martin.
Food and wine at François Plantation
Food and wine are considered most important at François Plantation, and are one of the key priorities,
alongside guest comfort and outstanding service.
The very best quality natural local ingredients (from local providers immensely proud of the quality of
their produce) are used. The cuisine takes a range of ingredients and combines them to produce new, exciting
and unexpected flavours. Finally in the preparation, the flavours of the main ingredients are enhanced with
fresh herbs, aiming for a perfect balance and marriage of flavours. This is a cuisine that is on the edges
of contemporary cooking, yet entirely respectful of tradition, not so much fusion as a new approach to
traditional ideas of preparation.
An extensive wine list, specialising in organic French wines and a carefully selected water list completes
the experience in the art of fine dining. The wine list has been expertly selected and designed by our Head Sommelier, Pascal Martin. Wine and water tasting can be organised on request.
